Convert TM700 MTS Files to ProRes-FCP X Native Video Format
Panasonic HDC-TM700 camcorder is now the most popular camcorder used in the world. The high-quality AVCHD videos are much more comfortable than ever before. I really love this camocorder so I bought one as soon as it came out. Even when TM900 was published, I still use my TM700 to capture as I do believe TM700 works as great as TM900.
Last month, a friend recommend me a perfect edit software called Final Cut Pro X, which is produced by Apple. My friend helped me edit some videos stored in my Mac, and the effect is pretty good. Maybe I can creat my own movie with Panasonic HDC-TM700 and this software. And this is my dream even from childhood.
Luckily, it was my sister's birthday the next day. I captured about 4-hour-long video with about 20 clips. In my opinion, with FCP X, I can easily edit such videos to get a whole movie. But the truth is: I can't even import these videos into FCP X.
E-mail my friend and he said I have to change my video format to correct one such as Apple ProRes or MOV which can be supported by FCP X. Google this, I found that FCP X can't read MTS from TM700 directly only if it's with BDMV files.And FCP X native video format is Apple ProRes. I have to obey the Apple rules.
